The other men help him find back bits of his past, until they arrive at a village where two warring families recognize him. His younger brother is jealous of the attention the prodigal son receives, and things come to a dramatic end.
Curator's Take
“Four inmates escape an asylum to find gold. It’s a chaotic premise that leads to some bizarre situations. A strange mix of psychological drama and western action.”
Why This Movie Is Important
A psychological mystery about memory and identity. By having an amnesiac hero, it adds a layer of existential dread to the violence. It asks: if you don't know who you are, are you still guilty of your past crimes?
